GP appointment made and a little unsure

Hi . This is my first post here so please be kind .

I am starting to think that some of my 9 year olds quirks might be more than just quirks and are starting to become problems . after lots of research I am starting to think he may have aspergers the more i think about it the more it fits .

I have made a drs appointment but i have no idea what to say to the dr , I am worried I am going to get the brush off . should I make a list of all the things I want to mention or will that just look too much . I just want my concerns to be taken seriously any advise would be very gratefully recieved .

  • Hi

I went to the GP about my son. I listed some of my concerns. I also said I was thinking along the line os autism and that these things had been going on forever but they were beginning to escalate and we felt we needed some support. She refered us to the team for assessment and they sent us to CAMHS.

    Hope this helps.Smile
