help

My 4 year old son was referred to the community paediatrician by the healthvisitor as he was overly active in his behavior . The paediatrician is now referring him to numerous other specialists to be assessed for autisim spectrum disorder . He is not showing signs of behaviour or learning difficulties at this point . However he is showing some of the signs of autism which have been there for sometime . I approached his nursery and advised them of the outcome of this initial assessment and they are completly in denial . I have watched my son at nursery and i have seen him display some of these characteristics but they are still not picking up on them  . The most obvious characteristic is he has no fear at all and is completely unaware of danger . This worries me as they are now making me feel that it is my imagination or i'm being overly protective . My son is a twin and the youngest of 5 children and I dont know where to turn next .
