My daughter Megan has been given a date for a ADOS assessment on 22nd May, at which point she will be 32 months. she was seen by an educational psychologist and SALT at Lara last week and they mentioned they haven't seen anything to suggest Megan doesnt't have autism and that an assessment would be the next step, which is what we expecting and relieved to be honest that things are finally moving forward instead of "we will arrange a follow up in x amount of months".
I forgot to ask the ladies when they were here, but following the assessment how long does it usually take for them to analyse the video from the assessment and provide results?
They also mentioned we would also need to see the Paediatrician again for a more in depth questionnaire on Megan's needs/abilities etc, and they have invited her to the assessment, which hopefully she can attend.
Looking after Megan and seeing her every single day of her life there is no doubt in my mind she is on the spectrum and the Educational Psychologist mentioned there are some therapies that they can do but only once a diagnosis is made, so hopefully they do diagnose relactively quickly so that she can get the best possible support.
I just thought I would ask here so people who have experience off these assessments could let me know their approxamite waiting time from assessment to resuls.
