Physical health maintenance

I will openly admit here, I eat a lot of meat and potato products, as well as generic children's party food. Come on, we all love at least one of those items. But they don't have much by way of nutritional value, which is where essential food comes in. I tend not to eat things like chicory as it tastes horrible but for vegetables I do avidly eat and enjoy, I quite like carrots, spinach, cabbage and various other items. For fruits, I like anything sour, such as certain types of orange, lemon, lime and kumquats. Yes, you read that correctly. I do enjoy those.

I'm no physical health guru, but I'd advise you to eat as many fruits or vegetables as you can manage, at least inside the burger or on top of the pizza. I'd also advise getting as much exercise as you can manage. I go to a gym in my area, and I'm not going to name it at the risk of it being removed, but it always makes me feel better mentally as well as physically. This is because physical exercise releases endorphins that make you feel good and make you want to continue.

Then again, in terms of mental health improvement, whilst it is important to eat as much fruit and vegetable as you can manage, there's no law stating that you can't enjoy your usual diet of party rings, jelly, ice-cream, cake and so on. Non-essential items are also effective for mental health improvement.

  •  I've been slowly gaining more muscle mass the past 10 years but I've never really gotten "fat". I've experimented with different training methods, but the one thing that has been consistent is my food, and this is not even using calorie counting or tracking macros.

I practice cheat days so I dont eat sugar too often and do intermittent fasting to keep appetite and food intake at optimum.

Other than get bigger each year in muscle mass from lifting, I've maintained and slowly increased my fitness since high school.

  • That makes sense, but keep in mind, I don't know much about the anatomical side of this. In terms of physical health maintenance, I tend to stick with the generic methods, like the ones listed in the post, rather than new substances that supposedly increase strength.
