Muscle weakness

I've been experiencing shaking and intense trembling if I do anything "strenuous." I had an infection a number of years ago that triggered a massive downswing in my health. I'm getting little bits and pieces taken care of so I can function properly, but in the past year this has developed: if I crouch, squat, or generally engage my leg and core muscles too steadily for too long, I end up with uncontrollable shaking. I can still walk, but it's slow and sometimes I need aid. I'm trying to get some practical ideas of what might be going on as my GP is crap(multiple misdiagnosis, proscribed pills that could have seriously caused injury or potentially death) and there's a possibility I could bring this up with a consultant in the near future.

  • I'm experiencing this now, interestingly enough one thing that Google searching has showed me is completely normal. I have been super anxious and tense for the past 2 months, and now that I'm medicated my muscles are finally trying to relax, but my body has other things in mind. I guess I need to take a step back and relax and let my body recover.

This did eventually get better for me, but it definitely took time and effort at dealing with my anxiety. The plus side is that, if I feel similar symptoms happening, I now know exactly what's going on and it doesn't cause me nearly as much distress.

  • It sounds like you have been through a lot and I am sorry to hear about your experience with your GP. It is important to get a proper diagnosis in order to get the help you need. It might be a good idea to look into seeing a specialist or another doctor to get a more accurate diagnosis. In the meantime, it might help to focus on lifestyle changes such as stretching, light exercises, and yoga to help ease the shaking and trembling. Additionally, maybe this weight gain syrup [link removed by moderator] could help. I hope you find the relief you need soon.
