Muscle weakness

I've been experiencing shaking and intense trembling if I do anything "strenuous." I had an infection a number of years ago that triggered a massive downswing in my health. I'm getting little bits and pieces taken care of so I can function properly, but in the past year this has developed: if I crouch, squat, or generally engage my leg and core muscles too steadily for too long, I end up with uncontrollable shaking. I can still walk, but it's slow and sometimes I need aid. I'm trying to get some practical ideas of what might be going on as my GP is crap(multiple misdiagnosis, proscribed pills that could have seriously caused injury or potentially death) and there's a possibility I could bring this up with a consultant in the near future.

  • I don’t think it’s abnormal for an overworked muscle to shake but if you can’t walk immediately afterwards then that may indicate a more severe weakness or issue. Being stiff a few hours later or the next day is more normal. Have you had blood tests for vitamin deficiency particularly B vitamins and D. It’s really hard to advise without knowing your medical history (you don’t need to reply with that as it’s private I’m just saying)  I very much see the body working as a whole, a problem in one area can affect other systems quite significantly
