Has anyone used them, and if so, how do you find them? I do like to be very warm when I sleep, and to feel "cocooned" by the blankets, so I am inclined to think I would enjoy one, but I'd welcome any insights from user experience!

I rather liked using the one I have, but it does not work very well if you share a bed. The weighted blanket needs to be symmetrical on the bed and to either side of the person, in order to stay in place; any part of it hanging over one side of a bed tends to pull the whole blanket off over time as the weight drags it off.
Thanks for that - I could never share I bed, I sleep slap-bang in the middle of my double so hopefully my blanket won't escape in the night!

That's a good point, I'd not thought about that - I am a side-sleeper. Hmmm... I know they come in different weights, so maybe I'll go for one on the lighter side and see how I find it, I can always buy a heavier one later if it's fine.
You might find a weighted blanket causes a little hip aching at first, because of the extra weight when sleeping on the side, but it soon wears off. Might be more of a problem for women, with their generally wider hips.
