GOT ADD / ADHD ?

I found this resource some years ago. I've ethically tested the guy, and found him to be a good person.

Find your tribe!

Edit: Although all of the above is true, in the ten years since I went there it seems to have changed, and become a lot more about the money, and there's less for us skint/tight individuals.

Making this post was a classic ADD "seems like a good idea, lets do it thing", which I did without revisiting the site myself.

However as you'll see in the comments below, the guy was quite kind when he dealt with me ten years ago..

I think in future I'll stick to sharing my own advice, useful tips, and experience. Sorry about that, for anyone who feels a little misled by my O/P, I'll try to do better...

  • It's been a few years since I went there admittedly, but when I did, it cost me nothing to participate.

Maybe it's changed, it was just Garrett lo Porto showing me the upside of having ADD when I went there and I came away feeling better about myself, but TBF it's been going a LONG time.

I did put him to the test, with a series of email exchanges and found him unreservedy helpful and generous as a person. But again that was a few years ago. (maybe 10...)

HERE's the initial email I sent him in 2011 and his reply:

    Hello Garrett,

I've read as much of your work as I can without spending any money, ( I'm not asking for any freebies, when I have some surplus cash, I'll consider buying the book, although I am unlikely to sign up for the forum).

But I have been sending people to your site who might enjoy the song...

Here's some feedback I received recently.

"Give me your money and I will tell you that you are Special movements?"
Let's see now...... can we expect anything else by joining these synergistic movements....
a pat on the back and thanks for giving me your money.......

    Is that about it?

In truth, when it comes down to it, I had no answer for the sentiments my "internet friend" expressed.

I prefer to derive some benefit before I shell out money, and certainly for me, 9$ a month to talk to other lunatics like me, is an expense that would feature way down my list!

Most ADD ADHD people I have met are as marginalised and fucked up as I am, those who have been successful have only got there by crushing the opposition underfoot, so why the hell would I wish to pay to talk to them?

Having ADD ADHD is ***, it's ruined my life, and whilst I do get insights and ideas, almost no one ever takes me up on them. And to be honest I can see why.
At 51 and being "houseless", means my goose is pretty much cooked anyway, and it takes all of my available personal ability to stay one step ahead of the cardboard box in the street.
The crippling lack of any sort of financial stability that my way of being engenders, means it is a work of madness to promise to make any regular payments, including mortage or rent, let alone subscribe to paid services such as your website!

The nature of the condition suggests that we need a supporting environment in order to derive any "benefit" from the condition, I know I do better in such an environment. We don;t so much provide it ourselves...

So again, does that not mean that ADHD people have competing basic needs? (Which is probably WHY we haven't organised ourselves already...)

I live at a constant level of powerlessness & poverty which I try to spend all my time ignoring, prefrring to simply try and enjoy a "harmless but interesting life".
When reality intrudes into my bubble, and I frankly assess my situation, achievments, and probable future I enter a world of depression that medical science recognises as requiring immediate intervention. However, the only intervention available, which I trust, (based on previous personal experience) is that which I can provide myself.

So maybe I am not representative of the majority of your target market, but I actually suspect I am not alone and you are missing any input (should you want it) that those such as I, have to give.

Personally, it seems, my powers are limited to moaning about my own life, advising others how to live theirs better, and the odd bit of technical/scientific/electrogravitic work, none of which seem to compensate for the rest of the ADD / ADHD dubious benefits. I'm also good at finding the flaws in a given system/machine/business strategy. Sometimes.

    Sigh, xxxxx

    Hey xxxxx

I understand what you're saying, and granted many ADHD-ers are not helpful to one another.  HOWEVER I have devoted much of my life to discovering the keys to turning our disposition into he positive and powerful trait that I believe it can be.  Inside Wayseers.org I've compiled around 50 hours of video and audio presentations I believe offer these keys. Here's a unique link for you to get a free pass: http://xxxxxxxx.xxx  (best to keep it private)
To answer your critic "Give me your money and I will tell you that you are special" <- Isn't that what most college diplomas really are? Unlike most colleges these days - where you graduate with no available jobs and hundreds of thousands in debt - what I'm offering is actually quite helpful - and I'm barely charging enough to get by.
After you've had the chance to watch the videos inside Wayseers.org, I'd love your help communicating the value of what I'm offering better.

    Cheers,
    Garret
P.S. A complimentary copy of my book in ebook format is attached. Please keep it just for yourself.

  • I would be interested in hearing from anyone who had been on it that could tell me it's not the starter level of a pyramid scheme.

The fact that their YouTube videos are unavailable doesn't reflect the professionality they seem to offer.

  • Some of the headings sound like things my in laws Evangelical minister friend would say. Looks more like some religious organisation than a help group for ADHD
