Coping with autism on daily basis

Hey all, haven't posted for a long time, but I have had a massive argument fairly recently with my mother. I feel when things go wrong I get angry so quickly now and have noticed this on simple things like going to college. i also have noticed I cannot stand busy places and I start to twitch or pick and something. I try and turn my music up as loud as it can go but I feel I do annoy people doing that. I have got the sunflower lanyard saying I have autism spectrum disorder which I feel does help to some degree.

The things I do find hard are:
Busy places like buses and shops
Last-minute changes like a canceled bus,
multiple things going wrong within seconds,
controlling anger

  • Dear RhysF00,

I think you are amazing. The thought of coping with all of those things you are doing each day, just makes me feel exhausted! That's what your anger says to me - that your store of energy to manage in the NT world is running low. Because let's face it. The NT world is not really very autism friendly.

    Things I find difficult:

Busy places like buses and shops
Last-minute changes like a canceled bus,
multiple things going wrong within seconds,
    controlling low mood.

    You are not alone.
