Does brain work better am or pm?

Does anyone else find their brain works better on a morning than afternoon?

I find if I have anything complicated to read, or something that needs a lot of concentration to do, my brain to be be clearer and works better before dinner.

Don't know if it's just me, or is it common in autism?

  • I used to consider myself a morning person. One of my first jobs was as a breakfast chef. I used to have to get up a 4am, cycle 10 miles to work, to start at 5:30am.

Now though, I still wake up early, but it's motivation I struggle with. If I have nothing planned it'll take me hours to get going, but if I have planned something I'm usually up and on it.
