World's worst bladder

I am constantly needing the loo, as I drink so much fluid; mainly due to boredom.

All that Aspartame I consumed, growing up, must have affected my bladder too.

  • I'm having to go to the loo all the time, i can need to get up half-a-dozen times some nights, and tt's the same of a daytime, I worry whenever  i go out, even to the local shops in case i can't get home in time. I've been to Urology in the local hospital. They tell me 'cos of my kidney problems i have to drink lots of water, but that means the water needs to come out.  My first visit to Urology, over a month ago, they did a 'flow test', For those that don't know...... i didn't. They put a tube up you, drain, and then fill your bladder, and wait to see how long and how much you pee. This week i've been again, similar thing but tubes and camera up both the front and back at the same time.......... and the doctor hays to me..... Don't be embarrassed !!! I said i'm embarrassed before you start.

  • I had to give up on coffee for that reason as well, and because I was drinking 20 espresso a day. That many quickly leads to mineral depletion and painful cramps.

Try water with squeezed in lemon juice, 1/4 of lemon per cup of water.

Avoid coffee, tea, and pure water, unless higly mineralised and bubbly.

  • If you have a search for Natural Diuretic these may be good to take note of. Once I stopped having a billion cups of tea all day, I found I didn't wake up in the middle of the night several times for a wee. Sad. They're effortless to consume and so enjoyable.

  • Hi yes the moor you drink the more you pee. but i still think a talk to you GP mite be a good think. I was the same but it turned out that i had large balder stone and lots of kidney stones (now have one kidney) hi pain thresh hold.  Tea and coffee don't help but worth getting checked

  • My wife found that switching from drinking standard black tea to fruit teas helped her a lot. Not useful if you hate fruit teas, however. Probably the caffeine and/or the tannins being the culprit.
