On-going exhaustion

Is anyone else experiencing this? It has been getting worse for me over the past 5 years. Any activity that involves other people seems to make it worse. I'm sleeping loads!

I think I must have a form  of chronic fatigue/autistic burnout (I'm in my 60s). I'm enjoying gardening, still, and some days, yoga, but otherwise just want to sit and not do much.

  • I have recently been assessed as having autism/Asperger's. And had a very full on few years, especially last year, when I had a lot of social context on Zoom.

  • This thread has reminded me of something which I had forgotten and haven't mentioned to the team I was referred to for assessment (not sure if they automatically get medical records? I probably should have asked)

When I was in my 20s I went to my doctor for exhaustion and fatigue, and they did a whole bunch of tests, including thyroid function (thyroid issues run in my family) and coeliac disease amongst other things, but the only realy conclusive bit of information was that I had slightly low folate levels. By the time they had done all the tests I was feeling better anyway. Not sure how it was marked down on my medical record - probably hypocondria! This was a couple of years after having clinical depression though (which I did remember to tell the referral team!).
