On-going exhaustion

Is anyone else experiencing this? It has been getting worse for me over the past 5 years. Any activity that involves other people seems to make it worse. I'm sleeping loads!

I think I must have a form  of chronic fatigue/autistic burnout (I'm in my 60s). I'm enjoying gardening, still, and some days, yoga, but otherwise just want to sit and not do much.

  • I have recently been assessed as having autism/Asperger's. And had a very full on few years, especially last year, when I had a lot of social context on Zoom.

  • Me too, diagnosed 15 years ago. Due to stress but GP told me it all bundles in with past trauma, undiagnosed autism and gut issues. I’ve had 3 major burnouts and ended up basically in bed for a year, unable to function even talk. I’m 62, now I know how to manage it…ie..if I do anything demanding, planned of course I keep 2 days after to take it easy and rest or potter about before doing anything else. If I need a nap I take it. Batch cook and plan meals that are easy and keep out of drama or stress. Go to bed at 8 chill out sleep by 10 up by 7. (Expect times like this when I have had an upsetting experience and have insomnia..brain whirring).

look at spoon theory, it may help you it does for me. And you can be assessed for fibromyalgia with new criteria.
