On 19th July, England will be celebrating Freedom Day. A long overdue return to normal will. How are you going to mark the occasion of the ending of Lockdown and of all the restrictions? I shall be a doing a little freedom dance of joy!

It will make absolutely no difference to me. I shall continue to keep my distance from people (as I've done all my life), and let Darwinism sort the wheat from the chaff. I'll continue to wear masks, for the protection of other people, not me. I've never been a pub, club, festival or regular theatre goer, or a live organised sport spectator, so non of that will affect me. We'll be back to square one within a few months, anyway.
I've already basically stopped following any restrictions. I don't like the idea of Freedom Day. It sounds like some kind of reward when these are rights the government should not have taken from us in the first place. It's like celebrating when the person who has kept you in the basement lets you start walking around instead of being chained to a radiator.
We are unproductive because,(in my case), we are different and are rejected.
In job related aptitude tests I am always near the top, then I get rejected because my body language is odd I have been told many times that I'm unemployable because of my past.
So we rely on state benefits to survive.
at moment my jobcenter hasnt called me in yet, i guess perhaps its due to the distance to my local jobcenter, i know people closer to it who have been called in but mine are still over phone.
as for job interviews i dont bother anymore, i go in casual which probably harms my chances but i consider it dumb anyway to go dressed in a way which you dont dress, its a form of lying and not being yourself and i dont understand how they can pick and hire people like that when they arnt getting the true person being honest and themselves
These are my job centre instructions.
I don't know how literally I should obey them. Rules and regulations are made centrally, but how are they followed on the ground?
At one job interview, the email inviting me specified that I should attend in business attire. I turned up in a proper suit and leather briefcase.
The interviewers were all in informal clothes, t shirts, jeans, scruffy trainers. Initially I had to wait in a kitchen before the interview, a staff member there was a woman with worn out t shirt, muscles and tattoos.
I will surrender my PIP entitlement
Why would you do that? It's hard enough to get it in the first place. If you are entitled, there's a reason - why not put it away as an investment?
aye ive been on welfare and in these weird schemes myself all my life, cant get job.
people in job center though, they are all open sneezers that will sneeze right in your face. they dont cover, they probably never wash their hands too. most people in society is like this though which is why we have such big problems with viral spread. hell i was walking through town one time and someone sneezed right in my face as he walked passed me and carried on as if that was normal... i got sick day after. ad during lockdown some bint stood holding her baby so far close behind me that her baby sneezed all over the back of my neck. yeah the population in general i consider to be rather disgusting lol no one seems to have any germ sense or consideration for others or any hygiene.
I haven't been to a Jobs and Benefits office for over two years, now.
To be honest, I was more cheesed off at the playing of Magic FM from the Smart TVs. It's hardly a place for happy-go-lucky music.
In fact, once I receive the money from the sale of my home and land, I will surrender my PIP entitlement and talk to my financial advisor about an investment which yields a weekly 'Income'. It would give me a, much-needed, sense of normality.
not to sound snobby but the state of some of the people that go in there,
Yes. That is snobbish and will offend many people, not me.
I'm unemployed and unemployable for many reasons, one is being unable to fit in anywhere, not even with people in job centres. I've been thrown out of jobs, training courses, for long term unemployed etc.
I, however agree that the standard of hygiene of people in job centres is deplorable.
