Hi Everyone,
I've been researching the different types of assistive technology available to help with APD. Does anyone know of any hearing devices that can reduce/filter background noise and make a speaker's voice clearer/more pronounced? I work in hospitality so it is for the most part a noisy and overstimulating environment. Due to the nature of my job I would need something portable and discreet. I have come across Bose Hearphones, but they have been discontinued. I'm wondering if there is anything else on the market that is similar or better?
Can you get an access to work assessment? You may be able to get a Roger focus system, they look like hearing aids but they’re essentially earphones for a Roger pen microphone. Quite expensive to self fund and probably only available on the NHS for children in noisy classrooms. The only way you’ll be able to filter out background noise is by using a microphone with some kind of noise cancelling earphone

i'll wait until i am forced back into the office but thanks for this inform. i'll put this link somewhere safe.
