Autistic partner overwhelm

Hello

My autistic partner has become overwhelmed recently after being well for 3 months. 

He is rude and disrepectful to me when his overwhelm level is high.

I find this difficult to cope with, and tonight have left our home to give him space and keep myself safe.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

  • I got diagnosed with ASD at the beginning of March this year. It explained a lot, and I really had to make some changes in my life. I couldn't just keep stubbornly pushing forward in a career that took everything out of me and left me with no strength left at the end of the day for my bf and other people I want to maintain relationships with. (Management, specifically warehouse management.) Plans change multiple times daily and there is constant stress.
