I have found that I have always had hypersensitivity to any medication that I have been given through my life.
I need far less of a medication for it to work. Often I have to halve a dosage of anything that a doctor prescribes.
Taking the 'normal' dosage causes side effects. Having observed this and explored it further over the years, I find it to hold true for any medication.
I wanted to ask if anyone else has found this?
If this is one of the hypersensitivities of autistic people or if it's just me?
Yep, I have that too. I read in Rudy Simone's 'Aspergirls' that this is common with autistic people. That's why I've been experimenting with natural/herbal alternatives (eg nootropics for ADHD, St John's Wort for depression, peppermint capsules for IBS etc)
How do you find St John's Wort? Does it work in any noticeable way and if so, how does it make you feel?
It doesn't really work that well... I found I had to take 2 tablets to notice any difference. It does help me sleep though
