Hi All. I am in a life Crisis

Hey All

My name is Jack and I have Aspergers Syndrome. I also have Mild Tourettes Syndrome and I am in a Life Crisis.

I finished my amazing Special Needs School in June 2012 and have been in a Sixth Form College since September. Before I was sort of in control with my Aspergers and Tourettes but recently the Tics have become unstopable and I feel isolated. There are only a small group of People I trust. My Best Friends (Two of Them) have helped me throughout the era that I have known them and he and She are like my Family. I trust my Sister and her Fianence.

I am at the moment of suicidal thoughts and am scared about my safety from myself.

I dont know what to do and the only People who help me are my Best Friends (The Two) and my Sister and Her Fianence. My Mother helps me but does not understand me as well as I wanted.

What do I do. Feel free to comment. All advice or help will be most appeciated.

Jack. (Tourette/Aspie Jack)

  • Hi Jack,

Life can be very up and down when you are a teenager, When my son when to sixth form he found it really hard at first. Then he took a break and talkeed to his tutor who is a good listener and now he's fworked out what works for him . Some days he doesn't go as its all a bit much, then they email him work so he can do it at home. Do you have a tutor you can talk to - or a special needs co-ordinator? Sound like you could do with some moore help but its good you have some peopl you can trust .

Some sixth form collegs have counsellors  you can talk to - they may help you work out what to do next. Maybe your doctor can help. Sometimes taking tablets for a short time calms things down. Its hard to think when there is so much going on.

My son had siucidal thoughts. The doctor listened really carefully to him and took him seriously. Perhaps your sister could take you to the GP? My son likes me to go in with him, . I start the talking then he tells it how it is. I think they might be able to help you , but you need to take that step and go and see them.

What subjects are you doing at sixth form?
