Keeping fit and healthy

Hello I am really struggling to keep myself fit and healthy. I have bad anxiety and that stops me from going out and walking and I hate the feel of water so don't bathe as much as I should and I struggle to eat as well as it makes me feel sick and I bleed a lot not sure why. I think it's all down to Autism and I think that I'll feel better if I can do more to keep fit and healthy. How can I do this? Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Slight smile

  • I'm sorry to hear that you're facing these challenges. Taking care of your physical and mental well-being is essential, and it's great that you're looking for ways to improve your fitness and health despite the obstacles. Given your anxiety and discomfort with certain activities, it's crucial to start with small steps and set realistic goals. Exercise doesn't have to be intense or overwhelming; you can begin with gentle activities like stretching at home. I know of someone who started with a simple upper glutes workout to strengthen her glutes. These are exercises that can be done in a comfortable and safe environment, providing a good starting point for your fitness journey. Regarding bathing, if the feeling of water is a concern, you can explore alternative ways to stay clean, such as using cleansing wipes or dry shampoo, until you feel more comfortable with traditional bathing. And please try to reach out to a healthcare professional to discuss your symptoms regarding your bleeding
