I totally understand what you mean - however, it's probably easier to cultivate some friends on here first before offering too much information in something like a zoom meeting. When you feel confident enough to make the next step, you can host your own meeting with invited guests. 
What interests do you have so you can find others into the same stuff? I do Lego and there's lots of Lego groups if I want to reach out - same with model boats - I take part in a weekly zoom meeting with them.
I sometimes join a local ASD group meeting too - it's a bit variable and sometimes very chaotic.
