Diagnosis

So I have a 3 and a half Yr old daughter who's just been diagnosed with asd,I found it feels very surreal not the diagnosis but the way it was just said yep she got it and that was that lol I was kind of expecting more really.I did have a little cry as she had so much going on and still has and this added to it,I'm so scared she's gonna hate me when shes older.

    I think flyingswallows has an excellent point here.

    I'm gonna be honest, I went through so many years of not understanding who I was and why I am the way I am and it's only since I was diagnosed with ASC that my life started to make sense and now I can work on my difficulties and continue to strengthen the things I'm good at!

    I don't know how much you've read about autism, but since your daughter has now been diagnosed I would seriously look into things like the neurodiversity movement and how autism is a difference which is not wholly negative (indeed, it has many positive dimensions), even if it is difficult to navigate certain situations.

    If you embrace her condition and be an advocate for her, I see no reason why she should ever hate you in the future.
