Hello all I am 4r years old and a full time single parent to a young girl aged 10 years diagnosed with ASD (additional diagnosis adhd, spd, severe dyslexia, dcd) my amazing daughter has massive emotional meltdowns and self harms. These have massively increased and I know some of the issues and I am working on addressing these (just won appeal for refusal to asses for ehcp) but these things as I am sure amny of you know take a lot of time.
My question is when did you consider investigating medication to support your child? I hope this is OK to ask... I need to talk to parents who have been through this, to talk to people who understand.
I dont believe in medication for no reason and I only seek to make life more barnacle for my daughter, seeing her so upset and angry is heartbreaking. Camhs are involved but are so slow... help!
Thank you in advance x
