Hey everyone I have been recently assessed by London and Maudlsey hospital, to have 'classic autism' amost ADHD and OCD. This was on last wednesday, and i am not fully aware of what i have to do now with regards of telling DLA and other people like that who need to be made aware. Also as i am a driver who regurly drives to college, i am worried as what i am supposed to do with regards to telling DVLA about the conditions i have been recently diagnosed with. I have no got any official paper work or anything to prove things yet which is why i am not sure what im supposed to do. 

I would appreciate any help and advice on any/all of the above.

  • I thought you didnt have to tell the DVLA and insurers if you condition didnt affect your driving.

    As far as I am aware High level Autism is not thought to produce dangerous driving so it doesnt have to be declared.

    If anything people with HLA should get reductions in their premium, good concentration even on boring routine tasks, good planning and spacial intelligence and lack of overemotional nonsense should produce safe drivers.
