Hey everyone I have been recently assessed by London and Maudlsey hospital, to have 'classic autism' amost ADHD and OCD. This was on last wednesday, and i am not fully aware of what i have to do now with regards of telling DLA and other people like that who need to be made aware. Also as i am a driver who regurly drives to college, i am worried as what i am supposed to do with regards to telling DVLA about the conditions i have been recently diagnosed with. I have no got any official paper work or anything to prove things yet which is why i am not sure what im supposed to do. 

I would appreciate any help and advice on any/all of the above.

  • Hi, I don't get DLA, but I'm worried about the driving issue too. I was a driver for over 15 years before I got my AS diagnosis, so what do I do re DVLA and my insurance? If I tell the insurer, will premiums rocket? If I don't, but then make a claim, is my insurance invalid? The Direct Gov website is really unclear.
