Hi all,
this is my first post on here. i just wanted any info on the 3di please? i know its a computer based assesment and that my son doesnt have to be there but will we get told anything about a result/diagnosis on the day? what happens next etc? any info would be much appreciated.
Our son is 8 years old and after being diagnosed with moderate speech delay at age 2 and a half and referred re his attention and at the time they said all his behaviours where similar to a child with ADHD but at that time they said he was too young to be diagnosed. He started school age 4 and has basically struggled along ever since. the school was not very helpful at all and he had problems continuously. we changed school last year as he started year 3 and since then the new school has recognised all our concerns that we've had for years. we didnt tell them when he started we just waited for them to approach us and after 8 weeks in the school we got the call and had to go in for a meeting, hes had assessments at school with EP and with the specialist clinical peadiatricain and receives 7.5 hours extra help with th senco. The clinical phsycologist said he may have an autistic spectrum disorder or pdd. which i what we've always thought! he doesnt sleep very well at all, is very anxious and has sensory issues.
any info would be great! thanks x
