Masks in shops

I’m anxious about the masks being compulsory to wear in shops. I know their is exemptions and I was given a laminated card from my care team. I’m anxious about being stopped though and potentially questioned as I’m not very good in social situations. What if they don’t allow me entry even after seeing the card? I can’t bear the feeling of wearing something on my face. I’ve never wear hoods or hats either because I just don’t like how it feels. It irritates me and makes me feel very uncomfortable. I don’t like it when I can’t see people’s face either as it’s already difficult reading people and guessing their intentions without their face being covered on top of that.

Does anybody relate? Any advice?

Thanks.

  • Had my first challenge for this yesterday. I was walking into Primark and there was a really big queue walking really slow and the security guard said "Have you got a face mask pal" and I panicked and said I can't use one. I walked straight back out as I couldn't cope with it and it put a dampner on my mood for the next hour. I also have acne so the build up of moisture could make that worse but it doesn't seem to be on the list of exemptions.

I haven't been able to find masks in any of the supermarkets that I've been to over the last couple of weeks but I finally found a stall afterwards and gave in and bought one. £3 and it probably cost 5 pence to make! It was made in China with poor instructions and dirty when I opened it with stains and stinks. I tried it and felt like I could hardly breath through my nose and had to do it through my mouth which I'm pretty sure is wrong.
