Pain sensations phobia

My mind gets caught up with pain sensations, be it gut, bowel or muscle which has resulted in a body sensation fear anxiety loop. This freezes me up and I go into a feeling vulnerable state don't know what to do and thus can't move state.  My whole life is stopped by these sensations, so any ground I make(in an non-anxiety state) is lost. It takes me days to recover..... basically I now scared of my body. I assume it is because I am sensitive to touch, so pain is a type touch from within. Any thoughts on the cause or the solution. Thanks

  • I think i know what you mean, I used to have what the doctor described as Anxiety pains when I was younger, basically severe abdominal pain that lasted for hours and left me bent over and unable to do anything.

As I remember they just went away and I dont really know why,

my advice would be to think positive, relax, try and be aware of the muscles that are tight and painful but not be upset or dominated by them.

I dont think drugs are a good idea, to me this is a mental issue and an opportunity to gain self control and awareness.

Try to accept the pain and realise that pain is not bad, its just part of the way your body is wired.

If you acknowledge pain and say OK you have done your job, I dont need you, go away now you should get control.

I know you have tried that and its not easy but one day it will just happen and things will get better.
