changing needs/depression

Is there anyone out there who is looking after an adult with aspergers syndrome?

I have a son who has been diagnosed with depression; has always had problems with anxiety but is now at a new level - wakes me up at 2 am because he is agitated. Has never truly been in the system so help is proving slow and to add to that there has been the whole ATOS interview - No Points given! This has only added to his anxiety.

Don't seem to know how to help him, especially when I am so tired because of disturbed sleep.

  • Try meditation, lots of books out there, I like Moon over Water by Jessica Macbeth but there are lots of others.

Fitness and exercise is good for anxiety and helps with sleep.

Anything active is good but because the weather is bad at the moment I would suggest membership of a local gym.

Bigger muscles should give more self confidence, something to think about and a sense of achievement. If he works out and gets tired it will help him sleep.
