Facebook-Does it annoy anyone else? it seems all fake!¬

It may be me to some extent, but all the connections. The sheer 100s of friends...all interconnected and all seem to say the same words....they all share a common theme of drivel..

Is it because im on the outside?  but im glad in so many ways that i am.

So much falsehood and lies within these circles..and expanses. And many of them likely talk about eachother..

  • People tend to only post the positive things in their life on social media and not their problems. This gives any onlooker a warped perspective of reality and causes them to feel depression about how said person has life so easy and is apparently doing better than them. I find it very depressing to see that people I knew who misbehaved and dropped out of school seem to be earning more money and having a much better social life than me even though I worked so hard to stay on at school and get my masters degree in engineering

I find that instagram is used for showing off, holidays, cars, friends, meals out etc

Twitter is my pet hate because you have younger chavs and dolled up girls posting shallow statuses (usually about peoples looks and never anything intellectual) trying to be funny or get some attention as if they are a celebrity and above everyone else and they do end up getting lots of retweets

Linkedin is another one I hate, people trying to look professional with lots of jargon

  • When you get active on social media, it downgrades you if you don't keep feeding content - so if you rely on likes and thumbs ups, you need to continually out-do your competition.   You end up needing a whole team of people editing, answering posts, creating content and looking after the operation.     It gets expensive or it's a load of hassle - and if you don't do it, someone else will depose you - and your channel doesn't get promoted so you disappear into oblivion-  so you lose money.   It's harsh.

My daughter has thousands of followers and if she breaks her pattern of posting new stuff, IG and FB will 'punish' her by downgrading her status and dropping her posts way down the viewing list.
