Nutrition (very restricted diet)

Hi all.

I look after a young person with ASD and GDD. Their diet is very restricted. Only white bread/ wraps/ bagels and yoghurt/ milkshakes or apple juice.

Any advice for over coming this or products on the market that include protien and vitamins that may fit in with such a restricted diet?

Thanks in advance

  • You can take some supplements or vitamins. During Covid, they are a must, but I prefer to take all the vitamins from fruits, vegetables, and meat. Try to diversify. Food will not harm. I choose for my child https://parentportfolio.com/food-pyramid-for-kids/. It is a program like a pyramid but a lot easier to implement. Remember, you need vegetables, fruits, proteins, grains, dairy to function well and feel energetic. Do not exaggerate with food, but take the daily nutrients from food. Do not forget to drink a minimum of two liters of water and eat three times a day. That should be a rule for everyone.
