Can a pet be trained to be a support dog?

I really need some advice. My little boy struggles with anxiety and finds our pet do is extremely comforting to him. Obviously having a pet dog hinders you being able to get a support dog but if I could have our dog trained properly I feel it would be extremely beneficial for my son. Any advice is welcome, I understand we have to be careful and there will be bogus people operating, hence me reaching out for support.

  • It depends on the type of dog you have, but they all can be trained. You can start with some simple exercises at home and get professional help from a company or assistant. At the same time, seeing your kind little dog made me so happy. Animals are real angels; if you love them, you'll get ten times more love from them.
