Feeling anxious.

Hello,

I'm not sure if i'm being completely pathetic here... My brother and my sister-in-law's first child in due in the next two weeks. Ever since I found out in April, whenever it is mentioned (I don't know why), I go numb and my heart starts racing. It's racing even as I type this.

However, I AM genuinely pleased for both of them. I am certain that they will be great parents, especially with mine and my brother's upbringing.

Can anyone help?

  • Is it that it makes you feel older? We typically don't think of our siblings having children when we're young. When that starts happening it's like a new era. I went through that a few years back, at first it was strange and unsettling. It doesn't bother me any more but at the time it did, it's a big change.
