nausea

Hi all

my son age 21 has just started getting nauseas (sp) when he has to go out, this started in july when he had to miss a trip to alton towers when he was sick in the car on the way. this morning he was due to go back to college and although he hasnt been sick he has felt sick and was unable to go. he has a doctors appointment on thursday, does anyone know of a way to cope with nausea that doesnt involve tablets as, the thought of taking tablets makes him sick.

  • How about a soothing smell? When I was little and feeling sick my mum used to use Ulbas oil and put a few drops on my t-shirt, its s strong almost minty smell thats mean to help clear your airways, all I know is it helps me with my breathing and calms me down, even now I'm almost fully grown (I'm taking a huge bottle of it with me to Uni). The drops would be best because they don't need to be drunk, digested etc, just placed somewhere where you can breathe in the vapour given off by the oil. Just be careful not to get it near his eyes, it can sting :S
