Where do I get a diagnosis?

On Friday, I phoned CMHT; as they'd promised to call back when I phoned them 2 weeks ago. I was given the same rubbish again about how they can't give me any access to my medical notes regarding this. Yet, anyone else (well, almost) can request this information about me.

My ex-psychiatrist phoned me. He finally told me that he only screened me and didn't fully assess me. I am not happy that I was never told this. Those appointments were a waste of time. I was told nothing that my parents and I do not already know.

I have been told that he doesn't do the full assessment and has no idea who does it.

Can someone tell me where I can out who, where and how I tested and diagnosed in full? I can't find on NAS which states that one of the services listed diagnoses adults (it seems to just be about children) in Plymouth.

I know there's services in Southampton and Cambridge; but was wondering if there's anything closer.

  • I am at open university and they are aware of the problem. Because it's supposedly medical and not educational, they won't help me at all.

I've already made a complaint regarding my psychiatrist. PALS basically took their side and said they did nothing wrong. Um, they lied to me and messed me about.

The GP who did refer me, has done what his trainer (he's a student) has told him to do. The other GP just told me no - she claims that I don't need a diagnosis.

I know that if I had a diagnosis and the support I need, I would not have half the issues I do.
