Progess? Blue Badge (disabled parking) scheme eligibility review

Proposals to improve Blue Badge eligibility for autistic people.

So we are about 2 weeks away from the consultation which would of then had ended 2 months ago on the 18 March 2018.

I know goverment is slow but they got to have good idea of what there are going to be doing by now.

So any idea about this Blue Badge progressing?

  • There is an issue here.
    First they are saying 3.21
iv. follow the route of any journey without another person, assistance animal or orientation aid

    Then demanding in 3.30
PIP score of 12 points under the ‘Planning and following journeys’ activity

So what is the issue here?
Well PIP rates and one the ways you can get 10 points
For reasons other than psychological distress cannot follow the route of an unfamiliar journey without another person, assistance dog or orientation aid. 10 points

For reasons other than psychological distress cannot follow the route of a familiar journey without another person, an assistance dog or an orientation aid. 12 points

They are both same thing. Just one for familiar/unfamiliar journeys. This is normal is just local shops etc. There is no real diffrance between them. The problems are just same thing. But they are saying "

follow the route of any journey" They are not using the word all but any. This is both descriptors.

But concils will act they way they do and see it has to be 12 points.
