Musings of a Broken Biscuit...

“Biscuits and cookies tend to be very fragile and will lose a lot of their appeal when they get broken. A tight group of cookies or biscuits offers a lot of self protection, while also aiding in rigidity. Specially formed trays, base cards or corrugated paper folds help to reduce the chance of breakages in the event that the pack is knocked or it vibrates.

Choose the right packaging materials to hold biscuits and cookies that have sharp edges or rough abrasive surfaces as a result of sugar and other embellishments. It is important to select and handle the materials used to package biscuits and cookies well as these are crucial to the life of the product.”

So....as a self proclaimed broken biscuit.....does mixing with other broken folk make a whole, or just a admiration of our broken edges.....? Or both...does the whole biscuit disregard you....and sash ould they? Cookie

a silly thread...but chasing the last few hours of joviality before the end of the weekend..

  • I like the toffee ones, something that has to be softened slowly with warmth,it then shows appreciation by rewarding the eater with prolonged sweet tasting stickiness.

    yum yum.

  • To be the left over toffee in the tub of quality street whilst everyone raves about the purple one or the green triangle ...

  • Ah yes but in moderation? Even malted milk are nice with a cuppa, good strong tea essential imho.I can easily demolish a whole pack of custard creams Lol.

i used to really like Tuc cheesy cream inside covered in salt, they changed the recipe because of salt content, just aren't the same.

The most important thing is to be sharing said biscuit with tea and quite.

  • Custard cream....but it all depends on the biscuits company. Custard cream and a cup of tea

  • I always prefer the big boxes of broken biscuits,a wide variety on tastes, some hard and some soft, a smorgasbord of delight.but with variety comes choice, the choice is however always there where as standard packets or trays tend to be one type which no matter how nice can become a bit monotonous.

I quite often search for good old plain biscuits which give satisfaction without being to full on,

Digestives fit most occasions, chocolate has to be dark whereas milk is ok in moderation. The crunchy ones for me,double cooked for crunch.

we were given Jamie dodgers in infants, well everyone else not me? Never knew why? It went with the quart bottle of free milk and a straw.my role was to pick up crate on sack truck and hand them out,I got extra milk when returning said empty bottles to the caretakers shed Lol.

Good use of biscuit and people types btw.
