Aspie Women (and guest visitors)

Hope everyone is ok... mid week eek! :) 

Hello Ellie and anyone else.  I went to Dr today took blood tests so will see! Had some time at dad's. And time on here in a mixed fashion. How was your day? 

Busy...but it always is.... you feeling a little bit better? Are you eating and looking after yourself ? X 

I appear to be surrounded in scholars and learned people? Better run for my life, brings back memories of teachers argh, only joking, So I am the only thicko here then, So how come me being autistic and not having any special gift?

according to some sources we Apparently each have a super power,,,,, oh just realised mine! The ability to make people fall asleep using only my voice Lol.

I did have a BA but that only lasted three days? Wore it on my back and it was flipping heavy .a whole lot of air.

can you tell I am tired? Yawn,

Me too my degree was years ago. I keep wondering what it would be like now with laptops and the internet wow! Family have or are doing  MA's band ph'ds etc but unless it was something I was passionate about .. often I found they were just looking for essays which fitted the box and same with MA's it's only when you get to phds you can really start to explore. If you want to put your thinking cap on look at the other thread I'm in I'm getting in the mire. 

If I hadn't forgotten how to use academic laguage (a fact I'm quite happy about), I could probably do quite a good job of that.

I was really interested in going back to do my PhD without speaking 'artspeak' b******* but it won't happen now.

Bill and Ben! I had a wooden puzzle of Parsley and the Herb Garden but don't really remember the programme. Fingerbobs (which had Fingermouse) was quite odd, I remember a tortoise but not what it was called. 

Is Mr Ben an idealistic view of autism? Discuss. (30 marks) 

Don't feel bad Lone, I was half joking but didn't want us to get in trouble again, this nested threading does encourage us to go off piste, it was fine, don't worry. We are autistic after all!

The mr Ben I knew would go on adventures each day,he wore pinstripe suit,umbrella,briefcase and bowler hat, he visited a costume shop,went into the changing room with a costume and would then have an adventure to fit the costume, me and him were doppelgänger Lol.

We were lucky children but didn't realise it back then,most kiddie stuff these days will probably be less imaginative.?

I don't remember mr Ben and bod.. bill and Ben the flowertop men, pogles wood, the woodentops, the one with the herb garden crackerjack , story time through the round or square window... Yes I liked Brian Cants voice and him very much too 

Finger mouse Lol.Pitkin,Emily what a beautiful child,so caring.The story tellers had lovely soft voices and really knew thier characters and audience.

Someone call the shop keeper! Please ! 

And Chigley and Camberwick Green. I was very enthusiastic about Brian Cant (his voice I think). Saw him in a cafe when I was small and embarrassed everyone by shouting loudly and excitedly...

Bod was amazing!!  The Flumos and Fingermouse! 

Did you guess the flavour of the milkshake? 

I am mr Ben,I change clothes to be whatever is needed.

Well...Emily loved him....meowing back...

Bagpuss? Lots of broken or discarded figures and toys waiting to be fixed and loved,cared for by the figures also waiting to be loved?

Yep, all in my favourites with Mr Benn and Bod! 

Who watched ?The clangers,trumpton,mungo Mary and midge,Hectors house and my favourite Bagpuss,just so caring and nice finding a lost or discarded toy and fixing it up for when a child may come looking for it,loved it so much.

Hi spotty really felt bad last nite replying on that post. I just saw one of your names and blundered in,Felt just like real life? Me getting it wrong!not noticing things! 

Glad you enjoy your chair meetings, a secretary at work does Pilates and is starting yoga soon,I said to her" that must be nice?social interaction and a good chuckle" oh yes she said it is hard work making myself actually go but come home feeling contented and more flexible.

They must be nice people? Keeping out of the social eating bit I can understand.

Thank you for the treat,I used to watch them glued to the screen,I also have an affinity with the snail,you can guess why? It became quite the thing to call me as it matched my character as well,Maybe the shell was a metaphor for my life?

My first degree was the same....scratched out essays and no google! 

Missy you are sweet, The dyslexia may account for my memory or lack of, some days I am articulate,but some days the words don't flow or come out wrong or sometimes just Miss words out. I have always been good with mechanical,good with my hands,mentally lacking though, yes waiting for my dear wife to ring,bless I wish she would just pack it all in, xx

ellie my grade 1 ballet allows me to lift another to great heights with one hand,fancy a spin,,,? I will be gentle,promise.xx

Mn mr tired LW you are very very far from thick. Dyslexia gives you a disadvantage but it does not mean you are thick. You know lots of stuff. I don't have a special gift and only average academically and it's not about that really it's the fact that it's so patchy .. one minute I can think of an answer the next I can barely drag words out of my mouth. I couldn't remember my phone number todayfor example. And you can drive and handle all those big yellow beasts trucks and diggers and things which sounds really exciting . Are you waiting to go collect your wife? ()x
