Just beginning diagnostic process

Am off to the GP on Friday to begin what I hope will be a diagnosis of ASD. I am a 51 yr old female and have felt all my life as if i didn't fit in. Dreadful social and communication difficulties and I failed school, and I was first diagnosed with depression at the age of 18. I have a successful job as a maths cover teacher/HLTA working with teenagers with complex needs. (I completed a level 4 in learning support and also a gcse in maths about 3 years ago)  I have been there for 15 years. At around 45 I was also diagnosed with sensory processing disorder. Since doing an online questionaire I feel as if a light has been switched on. I have just done the AQ10 and scored 10! I have printed it off to take with me, and also the nice guidelines around when referral is advised (I fit the criteria). My husband of 25 years is also coming with me. He agrees with my suspicions. Is there anything else I should take? And how long is this process likely to take. I live in the Norwich area.
