Upcoming ESA tribunal. Advice?

Hi guys. As I am sure many of you have done, I am in the process of trying to get a DWP decision about my ESA benefits overturned. My story is the same as everyone else's: I went to a ATOS medical assessment and then my benefits were stopped as I didn't score enough points. After a very long wait I finally have my tribunal coming up next week, and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice? Has anyone managed to challenge a dwp decision successfully? Is it as scary as I imagine it to be? 

  • I had mine overturned last year at a tribunal, tho at that stage I didn't know that I also have Aspergers only be diagnosed Weds this last week. I'm in work related group, tho do have employment under ESA rules, on a ) hours contract (Tho it's not going well), so am considering a rethink, looking for new work. The good thing as if I'm ASD diagnosed I understand that the help I get to seeking work will be more tailored to that. 

      Tho as I wasn't sure I'd pass the tribunal with anxiety and depression alone, so I took desperate measures and burnt my lower arms with a curling wand (tho I don't advise self harming). I would say get as much medical evidence as you can, take an advocate with you, and try not to feel intimidated by the doctor/judge, and explain how your condition affects you on your worst days, and good luck!!!
