Starting a project for aspergers sufferers

My son (who has aspergers) wants to start a project for other sufferers.

Its a forest garden, basically developing a permaculture design in woodland, somewhere quiet and unobtrusive, where people can just relax and do there own thing, planting, growing and selling fruit, vegatables, etc.

He has a little money of his own and we (his family) are able to help in a small way, but we need to find sources of funds to get the project off the ground.

Once we have the land, anyone who wants to come and visit can camp, work on the land and have a break from the pressures of life (and give a welcome break to families who may well need one.

This is one of the sites we are looking at www.rightmove.co.uk/.../property-54311435.html

We have half the cash needed, any ideas?????

  • Hello  billmccallum,

What about crowd funding there is an article in the telegraph November 2013.

In which it suggest the best companies to support this venture.  I'm sure there is loads more up to date info on this since.

    Its a good idea.

You might like to have a positive pitch.  Read an interview given by the guy who wrote nerotribes on the wrong planet website,  Your idea is something that is happening in America.

Suffering & Aspergers in the same sentence may put people off.  The author of nerotribes though not Autistic saw the positives of Autism in its different forms.  Perhaps read it & see what you can glean.

    Kind Regards
