Fuming finally received my award for pip i have lost standard mobility and lowered to standard care from high.  The assessor basically lied on her assessment report said i was very comunicative, i was very aware but poor eye contact displayed good memory etc all rubbish.  Nothing has changed from my first award but apparently because of this assessor my needs are different !!!.  i received high care and standard mobility for only 3 years and they assessed me after 3.

 

I am fed up of fighting .........

  • I have requested a reconsideration but they insist i need new evidence i dont have any i sent it all, they admitted that they changed the decision on the assesors report. Told me didnt have to be qualified or understand asd as they are not diagnosing just assessing my needs, surely if you dont understand asd you cannot judge how it affects you ??

  • Of course you will feel like giving up on this, but don't. Get advice from a benefits/welfare advice charity as to your next steps such as NAS helpline or CAB. Request a mandatory reconsideration, and then if still not you should consider an appeal to the tribunal. It takes time but those that appeal have a high chance of decision being overturned.
