What to think?

My son was talking to me the other day about a cat teddy he has. He said that the cat is sad. So i asked why to which he replyed that the cat is sad as the cat wants to kill himself. So i explained to him that that isnt very nice to which he replyed i know i won;t let the cat kill itself but the cat is sad and wont be happy till its killed himself. I asked if that was how he felt but he said no. But i really Don't know what to think of it all. My sons 7 and i can't understand where this has come from.

  • My 11 yr old son has just been diagnosed with A-typical autism (he shows all the signs of autism although he can show empathy and concern for others). he has been thought to be dyslexic for years, he has profound probs with speech and language and a severe anxiety disorder. He has had an "emotional meltdown" the last few weeks and has buckled under the pressures of school, with SATS pressure, topic homework etc. School is calling meetings with health proffessionals etc to help him, but we as his parents just feel so lost and helpless. Anyone out there that can advise us how to move forward?

    Thank you.
