My daughter is just 18 and wasn't diagnosed by CAMHS until just before she was 18 after i pushed them by paying for a private 2nd opinion. (We all know the ptfalls of CAMHS)

My son who was diagnosed through the adult services was refered for a Psychology and a Speech & Language assesment.

As my daughter was discharged from CAMHS as soon as she was 18 and not referred on to anything we've just been left to get on with it.

How do i get a referral for the above assesments?

    Go to her GP, her GP is responsible for all referrals for health (mental and physical). She, as an adult is entitled to take you along to help provide advocacy to help her get the help she needs.

    Autism/aspergers does not automatically imply that there is a mental health problem and it does not automatically imply that she has specific needs so those needs have to be assessed and prescribed and the starting point for that is the GP. if she has a diagnosis then she is entitled to the protection of the Equality Act and may be entitled to disability benefits and she may be able to use those benefits to buy assistance services depending on her particular needs.
