28 and still struggle with change

Hi

I am 28 and have aspergers. I was only diagnosed 4 years ago and still find it very difficult to deal with things. My biggest problem is change, any sort of change causes me extreme anxiety (which I am on medication for) and then normally leads to a complete meltdown.

I am currently going through a couple of major changes in my life and I am finding it very difficult to cope with.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Diagnosis is a shock at any age and it does take a while to come to terms with it and to work out what it really means.

Have you been offered CBT or other counselling as an alternative to medication?
