Does this happen with other people with aspergers

I seem to have difficulty to getting my words out when talking sevral times during the whole week, it even happened during my assessment and the psychologist noticed

Why does it happen and is it part of aspergers? 

Also does anyone need to use pictures with words, instead of just words cause apperently  i struggle with just words and was told i may be better with using pictures instead of just words

  • I can always speak, but sometimes I say the wrong word.  I'll say 'tomorrow' when I mean 'yesterday' for example. Recently I said 'I'm going to brush my nose' as I got out a tissue to blow it! Sometimes I mix up common objects the same way. For example when I'm coming up to my flat door and need my keys to open it, I'll find myself getting out my phone or travelcard instead.

    I'm undiagnosed, and possibly might be considered more dyspraxic than aspergers.  I don't know until I can persuade my doctor to refer me! Many people have both an aspergers and dyspraxia diagnosis. I think speech difficulties tend to be included in dyspraxia?  But both are mostly considered part of the autistic spectrum.

    I'm not sure what you mean by using pictures. Are the pictures in your head, or do you draw them?  Or do you use picture cards?
