How normal is it for a female to have her phone data exposed? When I was in Strathaven all my data was exposed everywhere in Strathaven and then further afield. As far as I knew it was not normal todo that. Can anyone tell me why a female in UK who has a phone would have there data disclosed in Strathaven and then other areas and for years and the whole time she was on medications and after and why that’s classed as safe and normal? 

  • Do you mean your phone number? Was it being passed around privately or over social media? Many of us have had some data exposed on the dark web for years - phone number, email address and sometimes other things, due to data breaches that get bought and sold between criminals. Or some organisations sell phone data to other organisations for cold calling. It depends on how the data has been acquired and passed on as to whether it's possible to stop it.
