We want to give you plenty of advance notice that we plan to move the Online Community to a new platform by March 2027.
We recognise that some long-standing members experienced the previous changes to the Online Community platform and know that this may mean some of you have concerns about another change.
This time, the Community will move to a new platform rather than the existing one being upgraded. It will offer more capabilities than the platform we use now. We are still working through what the new Online Community will look like and want you to be involved in those decisions.
As a first step, we will soon send a survey to people who signed up for an Online Community account. It will ask what you value, how you experience the Community and what could be better. Your feedback will help shape our plans for the new platform.
We are investing in a new platform because the Online Community is important to the National Autistic Society. Improved technology will allow us to keep providing a safe, moderated space where autistic people and family members can connect, share their experiences and offer peer support. While the platform will change, we want to retain what members value about this space.
For now, we just wanted to tell you what we are planning. Please look out for our survey soon. We would really value hearing from you.
Should you have any question please contact CommunityManager@nas.org.uk
Thank you for being part of the Online Community.
