seeking opinion on diagnosis

Is there anyone here who is not aiming to have the diagnosis and just wanted a community support because they believe they have some traits of autism? I am in my mid-40s, and I feel like I just need to find strategies to cope with my difficulties, and I will be fine. I just wonder what everyone's opinion is about not getting a diagnosis.

  • I think from everyone else's answers you can tell that you'll have no problem amongst autistics without a diagnosis and you would have to wait quite a long time. All that said, it has been valuable to me in various practical situations (work and treatment) and you might learn more than you realise.
