Myst and other games

One interest of mine is playing computer games. I don’t like violent games particularly. So my list is a bit old and different. A special one is the Myst Series. They redefined the game industry. It’s a point & click game from the 90s by the oldest surviving independent game studio in America, Cyan Worlds. The story is amazing as well as the puzzles in the games of course. I like their new games as well. The first book is great, adventure and a little romance.

These also I love and should be mentioned:

Quern Undying Thoughts - Myst like, with good story

Machinarium - beautiful artwork & music

I also play some modern stuff:

Hogwarts Legacy - broom flying is fun

Cyberpunk - dabbled a tiny bit!

  • Oh my goodness. I played Myst as a child. It was a fun game but if I remember rightly my brother and I both got stuck on the same puzzle and could never progress.

I was disappointed by Hogwarts Legacy. As a huge Harry Potter fan I was really excited for the prospect of being able to pretend I was really at Hogwarts. But alas, there was very little actual Hogwarts life you could play. I found the story line a bit bizarre and I got bored of travelling long distances before you'd set up the floo network thing.

I don't play games very often. I've previously enjoyed things like Spyro and mario kart. But I generally get bored very quickly so it's not worth having a console.

So many games want you to pay extra for online play and things now or are set up to be multiplayer only. Multiplayer isn't helpful to me, I don't have anyone to play with.
