Participants wanted: First-Year Neurodivergent Undergraduate Student Experiences of Support During the Transition into Higher Education

Note: This account only posts external research that has been approved by the NAS research team.

I am a PhD student in the Department of Psychology at Durham University, and I am recruiting participants for Study 2 of my doctoral research.

This study explores neurodivergent student experiences of support during the transition into higher education. As a neurodivergent student myself, this is an area that I feel passionately about, and I believe the findings have the potential to inform and improve future support for students.

The study consists of a short (5-10 minute) questionnaire to register interest and to confirm the inclusion criteria is met; I will then invite 12 participants to take part in a 45-90 minute online 1-to 1 interview. Interview participants will be offered a £10 voucher as compensation.

I am specifically looking to recruit neurodivergent (formally diagnosed or self-diagnosed) first-year undergraduates who completed secondary school or college in England and are attending an English university. Unfortunately, foundation year students and non-neurodivergent students cannot be included in this study.
